Facial Redness & Rosacea

Eliminating Facial Redness, Rosacea, and Visible Vessels

Settling the Skin to an Even, Comfortable Tone

The Biological Cause
Persistent redness comes from blood vessels sitting close to the skin’s surface. In rosacea they dilate easily and stay dilated, producing diffuse flushing across the cheeks, nose, and chin; elsewhere, individual vessels can become permanently visible as fine “spider” veins.

Cold, wind, heat, and the dryness of mountain life can all provoke flare-ups, and over time the background redness tends to deepen rather than fade on its own.

Our Clinical Approach
At Kootenay Cosmetic Clinic we treat the vessels themselves with Lumecca IPL (Intense Pulse Light). The light is absorbed by the haemoglobin inside them and gently collapses them, so the body reabsorbs them and the overall redness settles to a calmer, more even tone.
